I am a mother of three and have recently been studying biblical courtship vs dating. At first, the concept of courtship was totally bizarre to me since I had dated from a very young age (14) before eventually getting married (20). After studying God’s word I can now see that recreational dating, even among Christians, is not God’s will. I have personally experienced the pitfalls of recreational dating. I want more for my children. I want to share with them God’s will for this area of their life. Because I’m not sure how the courting thing works in real life I very much enjoyed reading your story.
Your story is beautiful and so encouraging. I know God will bless you for your faithfulness to him and each other. I hope and pray my children (who are now very young) will carefully and prayerfully choose their partner as you did. Thank you for sharing.
